Yoga is the best treatment for Diabetes. Diabetes is becoming an epidemic in the world. It is also known as a lifestyle disease. Along with other forms of exercises, yoga is one to get rid of such lifestyle diseases. The twisting and stretching in many yoga poses help stimulate insulin and massages the pancreas. Hence, the following are a few yoga exercises that you can do.

1. Pranayam

Breath in deeply and breath out helps oxygenate your blood and improves blood circulation. It also calms down your mind and gives your rattled nerves much needed rest.

Steps to do this pose:

Sit on a mat on the floor. Sit cross-legged.

Now sit with erect back, keep your chin parallel to floor, place your hands on your knees with your palms facing upwards and close your eyes.

Furthermore, breathe deeply and stay your breath for five counts. Then, exhale slowly. Repeat this process at least ten times.

2. Setubandhasana

This helps keep blood pressure in control and relax your mind, improves your digestion.

Steps to do this pose:

Lie flat on yoga mat, with your feet lying flat on the floor. Now exhale and rise up.
Raise your body from the middle to so that head stay on ground and middle part is in air.
Afterwards, use your hands to get down.
Tip: Don’t do this in back or neck injury

3. Balasana or Child’s Pose

Steps for the pose:
Sit on the floor putting weight on your knees; flatten your feet up to knees.
Spread your thighs apart a bit. Exhale and bend down from waistline.
Let your stomach rest on thighs and extend your back.
Thus, you may also rest your forehead on the floor. Count five.
Tip: If you are pregnant lady, having a knee injury avoid this

4. Vajrasana

This is a simplest pose that is great to relax the brain, improve digestive system etc.

Steps to do this pose:

Place a yoga mat on the floor.
Sit on Knees on the mat in a manner that your heels are pointing upwards.
Place palms on your respective knees, facing downwards.
Therefore, close your eyes and breath in deeply at a steady rate.
